come breathe with us

You have questions? We’ve got answers! And we also have a really sweet deal. If you’re new to Breathing Room, how about three classes for $26? Say what?? That’s like $8.70 a class! Try different yoga classes and see what you like. Sweet deal, right?

We’ll even send you reminders of classes, so you will actually use it!

Did we mention… it’s a pretty sweet deal?

here’s how things work…

01

Take a look at Class Schedule and find a class you’d like to take. Click the Sign Up button next to the class you’re interested in.

Not sure which class to take? We say try them all! The “flows” will have more movement and strength building while the “restorative” and “yin” classes will be a bit slower and restful. Take a look at our FAQs below for more information.

02

From the sign-in screen, click Create Profile to set up your account. Under the “What Do You Want to Hear About?“ section, make sure you check all the options for email communications. You must do this prior to signing up for class or you won't receive the Zoom link.

03

Continue your class registration by choosing the New Student Special class pack and enter your credit card information to checkout.

We highly encourage you to register at least 30 minutes prior to class, so we have enough time to get you the link in case of any technical problems.

04

You will receive the Zoom link as soon as you register. Please check your spam box if you don't see it. Email us if you don't receive the class link within five minutes.

the answers!

Is Breathing Room for me if I’ve never done yoga before?

Yes, we have so many yoga classes that will help you feel comfortable starting a new practice or starting again after a break. Our teachers offer modifications for newbies, for people with injuries, and can guide you through the moments when you don’t know what you’re doing. No judgments here, if you have a question — just ask! Plus you can get the sweet deal through the New Student Special to try out a few classes. Just remember, embrace your beginner-ness, it is a beautiful thing to be new and to not-know. Have fun!

How do I know which class is right for me?

We say try them all! There may be days when you’re craving a strong practice, there may be days when you’re craving a restorative practice, and maybe you find a teacher you like and you just go to all the different types of classes they teach. While all the classes have elements of each, any of the “flows” will have more movement and strength building while the “restorative” and “yin” classes will be a bit slower and restful. There’s no “right” way to do yoga — this practice is about tracking and feeling into your own experience. As you get to know our teachers and our offerings, you’ll be able to find the style that works for what you need in the moment.

What do I wear?

Comfy clothing that allows for movement and stretching. Fancy yoga clothes are not required. We do recommend slimmer fitting shirts, and slim-legged or cuffed pants and shorts so that you don’t accidentally reveal more than you intend to.

What if I have an old injury, or I’m really inflexible, or...?

If you have specific injuries or concerns you'd like to address be sure to let the instructor know before class. Your teacher will help you find ways to modify poses to benefit your body.

You do not need to be flexible, or strong, or young, or female, or purple, or an octopus, or anything else to do yoga. Yoga is for everyone. Yoga is not about your ability to perform acrobatics. Yoga is about; noticing how you feel and think, replacing detrimental habits with helpful ones, connecting, evolving… Come as you are, you are already pretty great.

Do class packs expire?

Yes, please note that class packs do have an expiration date. Expiration dates vary. Regular 5- and 10-class packs expire three months after the first class. See our Studio Policies for more details.

Can I share a class pack?

To protect the privacy of our students, classes and class packs may not be shared or transferred to other students under any circumstances.

Do you offer any discounts?

We do have a discounted rate for students, seniors (60+), military, restorative justice workers, teachers, social justice workers and those facing financial hardship. Another option is to join our work-trade program. A bit of your time in exchange for classes. Please contact us if you are interested.

What are your COVID-19 protocols for in-person classes?

We are currently offering hybrid (online and in-person) and online only classes. We have a HEPA-filtered heating system, and we will open the back door as weather allows to ensure air circulation.

Our in-person classes are currently at below 50% capacity, which means 14-23 students per class. Some classes require proof of vaccination (see as noted on the schedule in class description). Please bring your vaccination card to your first in-person class, so we can register it on your profile. Please do not come to an in-person class if you are feeling sick.

All classes will continue to be offered online.

Depending on current mask mandates - teachers may not be wearing masks to allow for clear instruction.

Depending on current mask mandates -masks may be required, and you will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entering the space.

Please bring your own mat. If you have props we ask that you bring them as well. A limited number of props will be available to use, but you must sanitize them and then place them in the designated “used” cubby. You will also be asked to clean the floor space that you practice on with provided cleaning supplies.

See our Studio Policies for more details.

I just wanted to say how much I LOVED this class this morning. My past exercise classes didn't include yoga or anything like that. So I am a newbie at meditation, breathing techniques, etc. I have never felt better all day after a class like I did today. It was awesome.
