Cara (she/her) believes yoga is one of our greatest tools toward individual and collective liberation. Drawing from a background of dance, ashtanga, qigong, and massage, Cara's classes encourage the body to release what is no longer needed and invite in the body's wisdom toward balance and healing. Katonah Yoga is at the core of her classes, a Hatha practice that draws on the influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism. How we do yoga is how we do life: Katonah Yoga builds a true strength that comes from having good techniques, boundaries, and support—on the mat and off.
Cara is a bodyworker and massage teacher in Oakland. She is also a writer, inspired by the stories the body has to tell, and a backpacker, in awe of the places her body takes her and its place in the natural world.
